These Referral Terms & Conditions (“Referral Terms”) govern your participation in the QuestLoot referral program, run by QuestLoot LLC, and supplement, rather than replace, our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply. By accepting these Referral Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not participate in the referral program.
1. Program Overview
QuestLoot's referral program lets an eligible account holder (“you” or the “referrer”) share a personal referral link. When someone registers for a new QuestLoot account through that link (the “referred user”) and meets the criteria described in Section 3, you become eligible for a referral bonus. Participation is optional and requires accepting these Referral Terms.
2. Eligibility
- The referral program opens to you once your own signup bonus is fully unlocked, meaning every step of it has unlocked (see Section 5 of our Terms & Conditions). You can follow your progress on your dashboard, and the Refer a Friend page appears in your menu when it is open.
- You must have an active QuestLoot account in good standing (not flagged or suspended) to accept these Referral Terms and receive a referral code.
- Each person may hold only one referral code, tied to their one QuestLoot account, consistent with the one-account-per-person rule in our Terms & Conditions.
- You may not refer yourself, an account you control or share a household/device with, or an account that already exists or existed previously. Referrals that appear to originate from the same person or device as the referrer do not qualify for a referral bonus, though the referred user's own signup bonus is unaffected.
- We may suspend your participation in the referral program, without suspending your account generally, if we determine in our reasonable discretion that you have violated these Referral Terms.
3. How Bonuses Work
- A referred user receives QuestLoot's standard signup bonus — the same bonus every new account receives, not an additional or separate amount for being referred. That bonus follows the same terms as any other signup bonus under our Terms & Conditions, including that it is locked and unlocks step by step as the referred user earns.
- You, as the referrer, become eligible for a $5 referral bonus once your referred user separately earns $5 from completed offers and surveys. Your referral bonus is credited to your balance in locked form when the referral is recorded, but is not cashout-able until it unlocks on that condition.
- There is no limit on the number of friends you may refer, but currently no more than 5 referral bonuses per calendar month are paid out per referrer — additional referrals in that same month are still recorded, just without a bonus. We may change this limit or suspend the program entirely, at our discretion.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Create or refer fake, duplicate, or automated accounts to generate referral bonuses;
- Refer an account from the same device, network, or household as your own account, or otherwise attempt to make a self-referral appear to be a genuine separate person;
- Advertise your referral link through spam, unsolicited messages, or paid/incentivized traffic without clear disclosure that it is a referral link; or
- Misrepresent QuestLoot, the referral program, or the bonuses involved when sharing your referral link.
5. Forfeiture & Reversals
A referral bonus — locked or already unlocked — may be revoked or debited from your balance if we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that it was obtained through fraud, abuse, a violation of these Referral Terms, or a violation of our Terms & Conditions by you or the referred user. This mirrors the fraud and reversal provisions in Section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
6. Changes to This Program
We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program, or update these Referral Terms, at any time. Changes apply to referral bonuses not yet unlocked at the time of the change; bonuses already unlocked are unaffected. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
